Hola. Mi nombre es Erick y esta pagina es una tarea especial asignada por el profesor Juan Enrique Cabrales para la asignatura de Ingles VI del quinto semestre.
El proposito de este blog es ejercitar nuestra escritura del idioma ingles por medio de comentarios de temas libres, los cuales no estan completamente bien redactados, pero el profesor se encargo de revisarlos cada cierto tiempo para ayudarnos a corregir nuestras fallas en la gramatica.

Putting the mind to work

Lucy Gomez is the most creative person I know. She started piano lessons when she was only 6 years old. At school, she was always creating interesting projects in hr art class. When she was only 12 years old, she won a citywide poetry contest. Her parents were very proud of her.

Now Lucy works as a sitcom writer for a very popular TV show. She works with a group of writers, and together they have to think of fresh ideas. They also have to come up with funny dialog for the actors have to play believable characters that will make the audience laugh. It is not an easy job, but Lucy does it well.

She starts work late in the morning and often works until 7 or 8 at night.

Lucy is very curious. She likes to travel and meet new people who have opinions that are different from hers. She often carries a notebook with her and writes down what she sees and hears. Lucy tells me that these new experiences are a good source of ideas for her work. I always enjoy talking to her and am happy to know someone as bright and creative as Lucy.

The art of complaining

Dear Sir or Madam:

On July 16 my friends and I arrived to your inn hoping to spend an enjoyable weekend. Unfortunately, because of your poor service, our weekend was a disaster. Since your ad says "have a fabulous time or get your money back," I am requesting that you refund our money.

From the moment we arrived, there were problems with the service. First, a very unfriendly desk clerk couldn t find our reservation. After waiting almost half an hour, we were led by another unfriendly clerk to our room. The room, which had a view of a parking lot instead of the bay, had not yet been cleaned, so we found dirty towels on the beds and cigarette butts in the ashtrays. Despite these problems, none of your employees apologized to us. This was not the weekend we had been looking forward to.

Service at your inn was not always loke this. My previous visits were always enjoyable because of the corteous service and clean rooms with beautiful views.Until things change at your inn, I will never recommend it to anyone.I expect to receive my refund shortly.

New Moon is the sequel of the best seller "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer, and it follows the love story of Bella Swan and her vampire boyfriend Edward Cullen.

Bella is now Edward s oficial girlfriend, the the hunter who was after her was killed by Edward and they are in a peaceful relationship, but she is worried because her 18th birthday is near and she will become older than Edward, who will be 17 forever.
However, he convinces her to celebrate her birthday with a small party with his family, The Cullens,all of them vampires; but the event turns out a tragic one when Bella accidentaly cut herself while opening a present and Edward and Jasper cannot resist their insticts for her blood and try to attack her but they are easily calmed by Carlisle, their father.

Edward feels responsible for the accident and decides to leave Forks for Bella s safety, but she knows she can t live without him and feels extremly depressed. the only one who can make her feel fine is her best friend: Jacob Black, but Jacob starts showing strange changes at the time that giant wolves are seen around Forks. Bella must fight against the new Jacob and find her one true love: the vampire Edward Cullen.

GRINDHOUSE: Planet Terror

Guns, sexy girls and gore, you can find this in the new film of Robert Rodriguez: Planet Terror, a new Tarantino-Rodriguez proyect inspired in the old grindhouse films.

The plot takes place in a common town near to a military base, something is hidden from the surface, a deadly virus who turns the people into lethal beings, the scientist who created has betraed the soldiers and the virus is released; Cherry Darling, a go-go dancer is attacked by three misterious monsters in the middle of the night and she lose one leg, but she is saved by her boyfriend "El Wray", a legendary gunman who is chased by the local sheriff.

A couple of hours later, zombies menace the whole town and a few survirvos have to fight them in order to get out of alive from the city. Their goal is Mexico, the only place which will be safe when the virus spread all voer the world, however, the zombies are not the only enemy, the secret behind the soldiers is revealed and this could cost the live of the ones who got out of the town.

Death Note

"People whose name is written on this note shall die" That is the first rule of the book of death and the prelude of one of the best animated series of Japan: Death Note tells the story of a high school student, Light Yagami who finds a black notebook which belongs to a god of death, this notebook has the power to kill people when you write their names on it. Light uses this note to kill criminals and make the world a peaceful place. But he is soon chased by a group of detectives who are guided by a young knowed as "L".

The whole serie is about the game where Light and "L" trying to make the other one lose, for they is just that, the challenge of showing who is the most intelligent of they, but the fight becomes lethal, nobody is safe and they cant trust no one.

This is one of my favorites animated series, if you like detective stories, suspense and thriller I think you would like Death Note, although is not like the others anime series it has become very popular among the fanatics of japanese animation (anime)
